Justin turned 5 months old on saturday! I can't believe how time flies by so quickly. Some days it's good, but most of the time I wish I could slow it down and push the pause button.
This has been a really entertaining month watching him work on his coordination and having fun with REAL(smushed)FOOD. He's getting to be a really good jabberer and still loves yelling so we're never lacking for noise in our apartment(I'm sure our neighbors agree). His hands and feet are his best friends, and he's constantly chewing on them or grabbing things. (especially faces) When he wakes up in the morning he wiggles his arms out of his swaddler and just plays in his crib for up to an hour until I decide it's morning(at 7:30. It's like Christmas every morning to see his excited little smile and flailing arms when I come to get him.
I'm greatful to have such a happy kiddo with an almost constant smile (unless it's naptime or he has a hungry tummy). That's pretty cute too though. If I'm taking too long getting his food he'll just sit in his bumbo and burst into tears, then open his mouth as wide as it goes and start gulping the food down with barely a breath in between. He does this till the whole container is nearly gone. With the last bite he sits back, looks up at me, and just grins. Possibly one of the best parts of my day.
Jason specifically told me not to post this picture, but I thought it was too cute, so I couldn't help myself. If it disappears in a few days, you'll know why. I love how helpful Jason is with Justin. It's nice to be able to leave them home together and know they'll both be fine. They're pretty entertaining together actually, and Justin's learning to love his daddy's teasing. The last couple of Sundays Jason's taken care of him almost the whole meeting, which has been such a treat to be able to just sit and listen. I really do love our ward here. Everyone is pretty much in the same position in life (newly married students with kids or planning for kids) so the lessons are pretty tailored to fit each of us. (sometimes I really miss having the older generation and their years of experience though) That's where bishop comes in, he's always got good advice and great stories.
Anyways, back to the center of this post and the center of our days:
