Pioneer Dam and Memorial Day

Jason has been wanting to take us out to see the "Pioneer Dam" so we headed early in the morning on Memorial Day. It took us a little bit of driving around in the mud out by the river to find it, and made me grateful to have a truck now, but the boys absolutely LOVED it! It was overcast and muddy, which was absolutely beautiful and the boys were definitely in their element climbing on all the rocks, jumping over puddles, and learning about how the pioneers redirected the water to make life sustainable in Joseph City. We will definitely need to go back when it warms up a bit more so the boys can play in the water, sand and mud. It's an awesome little oasis and only 10 minutes from our house! It has me super excited for summer weather so we can take the boys more!
